Main Info
Pikey Peak Trek also known as “Lower Solu Trekking”, visits the less traveled part of the Solukhumbu-Everest region of Nepal. A superb trek in a rural and authentic region, at the foot of the Everest region. We trek from village to village to meet the inhabitants, discover their way of life and their traditions.
Our journey stars from Kathmandu, we take the road to reach the Sherpa land, the Solu Khumbu region. This trek is a great way to learn about traditional and authentic Sherpa culture. The valleys surrounding Pike are the home of Sherpa culture which have not been touch by commercial tourism. We walk from village to village, and discover the Buddhist universe of the Sherpa people along the way: mani walls, prayer flags, stupas and monasteries. The ascent of Mount Pikey, relatively easy, is one of the highlights of the trip: the summit offers a panoramic view Himalayas, the Kanchenjunga (8586 m), Makalu (8481 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Everest (8848 m), Manaslu (8163 m)…
Highlight of trek:
- Trek in Sherpa country between chortens, monasteries and prayer flags.
- A trek accessible at a moderate altitude.
- Magnificent panorama view from Pike Peak
- A rural and off-beat trekking region, with a view of the Everest massif
