As we combine Gokyo lake trek and classic Everest basecamp with a non-technical Cho- la pass gives unparalleled trek circuit of the Everest region. We trek through the Gokyo valley, climb Gokyo Ri and Kalapattar, which gives us immense opportunity to see the Highest peak of the Worlds. Everest, cho oyu , Lotse, Nuptse , Pumori and Ama Dablam are in front of our sight. It feels like we can touch them. The sun rise from Kalaphattar can’t be explain by words. The walk to Everest base camp and famous Khumbu Glacier will always remain in our memories. Let’s not forget the Sherpa village, their culture, Monasteries and Mani along our trek, which provides us a truly unforgettable experience.

We have an early morning flight to airstrip at Lukla. The airport was established by Sir Edmund Hillary to help access to Everest region. Once we arrive at lukla, we meet our staff and prepare for the trek.
We head downhill towards the Dudh Koshi, a river that follows through the highest peak. The trail descend down to the village chaurikharka, passing through the fields of potatoes, Buck wheat and rows of Dahila trees. We arrive at Pharding village.

Our journey starts walking through the pine forest, terraced fields and variety of corps. We cross the Dudh kosi multiple times with suspension bridge. We walk through the many mani wall, Litho Mani (Dhunga pani), where the mantra OM MANI PADME HUM is well inscribe. It can be translate as “the lotus flower is the Jewel”. The mantra is chanted by Buddhist while walking left of the mani. On the way to Namche we have a spectacular view of Kusam Khangaru (6369m) to the east. Further along the trail, across the valley to the North-West, Nupla (5885 m) and Kongde Ri (6093 m) rise above the forested ridges. At a turn of the trail, Thamserku (6808 m) rises majestically, seemingly from the river floor. After crossing the suspension bridge on Dudh Koshi, we begin ascend to Namche Bazar.

Today is our Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar. In order to acclimate in Altitude we need to take a rest. So we have a small hike to Khumjung valley. We visit the monastery and Hillary school.

Our trek to the Phortse Tange, we have a spectacular view of Ama Dablam, Lotshe, Nuptse on our way. The trail start with a gradual ascend to the sanasa and khanjuma village. Our trail branch off left as we ascend to Monjo. From here we can see the Phortse village in front of us. The village is dominated by its monastery on top. We descend down to the confluence of Dudh Kosi and Imja khola across the valley isThangboche Monastery.
Afternoon section, an optional walk up the ridge through the rhododendron forest will bring us to the village of Phortse. The village is renowned for Mountaineering.

The trail follow the Dudh Kosi towards its source Ngozumba glacier. A steep climb through the dwarf rhododendron forest, fir amd red birch gets us to the Gokyo Valley. We see fewer trekkers since we leave the mail trail. The relative isolation of the trail is a pleasure. We arrive at Dole. The view of Tabouche and Cholatse is amazing. Continuing a steady but constant climb, we reach the "village" of Machhermo. Like the few small villages in this valley, Machhermo has only a few buildings and these are empty much of the year.

We follow the valley above the river, we ascent to the Gokyo village. The view of Cholatse and Tabouche to the east is amazing. We arrive in the High alpine region, we approach the Ngozumpa Glacier and trek on the Moraine and rock. We enjoy the excellent view of Cho Oyo to the North. After a while we reach the first water body Longpangu Tsho, before reaching the Taboche and Gokyo a larger water body. The lake is also a place where migrating birds are often seen swimming on their annual migrations to and from Tibet.

Early morning, we hike to the famous Gokyo Ri, it a steep climb of 2 to 3 hours. You will be thrilled when you reached the summit with its Spectacular view. The mountain range surrounding us are Cho Oyu (8153m), Gyangchung Kang (7922 m), Lhotse (8501 m), Makalu (8475 m), Cholatse (6440 m), Taweche (6542 m), Kantega (6685 m), Thamserku (6808 m), Lobuche (6145 m) and Mt Everest (8848 m). The distinct color of Gokyo Lake below gives the best Picture of the trek.
Afternoon, we leave Gokyo towards Thangnak on a trail that passes through a section of the glacier. It's a beautiful hike from Gokyo. We are at the foot of Cho La.

We start early in the morning, advantage we have a long and steady day a head to the pass. It might take up to 5 hours to the pass, depending on the snow condition. Once we reach the pass, we have a pleasant moment. It’s time to explore the highest peaks in the works. The moment can’t be describe in the words. The sense of achievement we have in the pass. Finally we descend to Dzongla, the first part is on a flat snow surface.

We welcome the sunrise from Dzongla with a spectacular view of Cholatse and Amadablam. The trail descend down above the village of chola and continue past the Cholatse Lake. After a small ascend, we have a beautiful view of Khumbu valley. We arrive at Thukla. From here we follow the classic base camp trail. After a step climb of Thokla pass, we have a beautiful view of Pumori , Khumbtse and Lingtren. We arrive at Lobuche village.

We are above 5000m, walk slow and steady. We walk on the moraine of changri glacier and alongside the Khumbu Glacier. The path winds over the rocky moraine towards the settlement of Gorak Shep. We are on high altitude, among the glaciers of the world's highest peaks.
On our arrival at Gorak Shep we have an early lunch before we commence our trek to Everest Base Camp. During the expedition season (April, May and June) many expedition group can be seen at base camp.

Kalapatar which can be translate literally as Black rock. It’s a hill above the Gorakshep, from there the views are spectacular. Early morning we hike to kalapatar, the sunrise on the Everest and other peak is majestic. We find ourselves at the center of huge amphitheater surrounded by the highest peak of the world.
Then we descend down to Dingboche for the overnight.

We gradually descend down the Imja valley to Pangboche village. Further we cross the Imja River on the suspension bridge. We continue our trek walking through the Rhododnedron and Birch forest and arrive our destination Tengboche Monastery.

The trail descend to the phuku tenka, we cross the river and climb the rhododendron forest. We arrive at sanasa and kangjuma village. This might be the last time we see the higher mountain as we descend down. We arrive at Namche Bazar, walk through the Bazar and descend to the Monjo village.

Retrace the path we follow. We pass through the different settlements and forests before a gentle climb to Lukla village. The last evening a perfect time to celebrate with the staff.
